Cenote Kin Ha: Cavern, Jumps, Fee and How to Get There
Updated October 27, 2026
Cenote Kin Ha is a cavern cenote in a jungle park on the Ruta de los Cenotes, inland from Puerto Morelos, about 20 minutes from the town and 20 to 30 minutes from Cancún by Por Esto's reckoning. The park has two cenotes: Kin-Ha itself, an underground limestone cavern where openings in the ceiling let sunlight into the water, and Cenote Blanca Flor, an open-air pool with jumping platforms. Its own site sells entry to both at 600 pesos (MXN), open 9:00 to 17:00 (checked October 2026). The park also runs ATV, zip-line and horseback trips on its trails.
What Cenote Kin Ha is like
Sources describe the main cenote differently. The Quintana Roo tourism portal calls it a closed cave cenote with one opening; Programa Destinos México calls it semi-open. Either way you swim in a cavern under the rock, with light coming in from above. Boundless Roads (2026) says you get down by stairs or by jumping from a tree trunk, and that the park has drinks, snacks and hammocks. The park's ATV listing adds life jackets, lockers with no deposit, showers and changing rooms. It is one of seven cenotes the state tourism portal features on the cenote road from Puerto Morelos.
The jump and the platforms
There are two kinds of jump at Kin-Ha. In the cavern, Boundless Roads describes jumping in from a tree trunk instead of taking the stairs. At Cenote Blanca Flor, the open-air cenote in the same park, the park's own listing gives optional platforms from about 1 to 14 m (3 to 45 ft), so you can start low or skip them. The height of the cavern jump itself is not published. Look before you jump: in the cavern, check the water depth and the rock under the platform with staff first. Read are cenotes dangerous for what the rules say about jumping.
Cenote Kin Ha entrance fee and hours
Kin-Ha publishes its own prices in pesos. Other sources give lower and higher figures, so here is what each says.
- Entry to Kin-Ha and Blanca Flor: 600 pesos — The park's own site, drive yourself, open 9:00 to 17:00 (checked October 2026).
- Cenote day with transport and a meal: 800 pesos — The park's own site (checked October 2026).
- ATV, ziplines and both cenotes: 1,100 pesos — The park's own site, with pickup from Cancún, Puerto Morelos or Playa del Carmen (checked October 2026).
- 150 to 200 pesos — Por Esto's March 2026 list of cheap cenotes near Cancún, a per-person range that varies with cenote and activities.
How to get to Cenote Kin Ha from Cancún
By car, take Highway 307 south to Puerto Morelos, about 36 km and 30 minutes, and turn inland on the Ruta de los Cenotes. Kin Ha sits between km 18 and km 20 depending on the source (zonaturistica says 18, Locogringo's 2018 list says 20); La Noria is on a short detour just before it. Without a car, take a colectivo from downtown Cancún to Puerto Morelos for around 30 to 50 pesos (January 2026), then a white combi up the Ruta and ask to get off at Kin Ha. The park's own day trips include pickup, which saves the second leg. See the Ruta de los Cenotes page for every cenote on the road and its km marker.
Kin-Ha tours: ATV, ziplines and two cenotes
Kin-Ha sells its own day on GetYourGuide: ATV, ziplines and the Kin-Ha cenotes, from $55. It covers a 45-minute shared ATV ride, 3 ziplines, entry to Cenote Blanca Flor and Cenote Kin-Ha, the transfer between them, lunch with a soft drink or water, a tequila tasting, a bilingual guide, lockers and showers. Transport runs from Playa del Carmen (Playacar), Puerto Morelos and Cancún; about 5.5 hours door to door. Drivers must be 16 or older. 4.6 on 24 reviews of this tour on GetYourGuide, with free cancellation up to 24 hours before. The listing bans sunscreen. Note that the jungle ATV, zipline and cenote tour we review is a different park: its itinerary swims at Cenote Verde Lucero, not Kin Ha. Compare both, and the other operators, in cenote tours from Cancún.
Diving at Kin Ha
Cavern diving at Kin Ha is for certified divers only (Programa Destinos México). A GetYourGuide listing pairs two dives at Kin Ha and Zapote from $215, with pickup, and asks for Advanced Open Water or Open Water with at least 20 logged dives. Xico Dive Center in Playa del Carmen sells the same pair among its advanced dives. Snorkellers need no certification.
