Cenotes Casa Tortuga, Tulum: Four Cenotes, Fee, Families

Updated October 27, 2026

Cenotes Casa Tortuga is a park of four cenotes on the Cancún–Tulum highway, about 15 minutes north of Tulum, visited on a guided swimming circuit of about 1 hour 40 minutes. Tour listings describe two as open-air and two as cave cenotes, and depths run from 1 to 8 m, which makes it one of the easier cenote stops for families. A reseller sold the basic ticket from 26.68 US dollars per person in October 2026; the only peso price list we found, from November 2021, put the basic package at 650 pesos (MXN). Life jackets are included on the guided tour.

The four cenotes at Casa Tortuga

Royal Caribbean's guide to the park names all four. Some guided options visit only two cenotes and two caves, so check which your ticket covers.

  • Campana — A semi-open cavern with stalactites and stalagmites.
  • Wisho — A cavern passage with visible fossils and bats.
  • Dorca — An open-air cenote.
  • Tres Zapotes — A long pool of more than 100 m.

Casa Tortuga entrance fee

Casa Tortuga has no official website we could open, and its gate price is not published. The only peso figures are from 2021.

  • Basic ticket, from 26.68 US dollars — A reseller's live listing in October 2026, taxes included, with access to all four cenotes.
  • Basic package, 650 pesos (2021) — Oasis Hoteles blog, 23 November 2021. Platinum 850 pesos with a zip line, VIP 1,100 pesos. Children under 5 free.

Is Casa Tortuga good for families?

It is one of the gentler options. Depths run from 1 to 8 m (Oasis Hoteles), the guided circuit includes life jackets, and tour listings describe two of the four as open-air, so children are not underground the whole time. The catch: some cavern passages need a brief swim underwater (Royal Caribbean), so a child who will not put their face in the water may skip a section. The park asks you to enter without sunscreen or insect repellent and bans outside food and alcohol. Our page on what to wear to a cenote covers rash guards and water shoes for children. Tours from Cancún that stop at Casa Tortuga

Several Tulum day trips on GetYourGuide include Casa Tortuga. None is among the six tours we review in detail, and the newest have no reviews yet. One example is Tulum, Casa Tortuga and Playa del Carmen with lunch, from $65 (Fiesta Tours Mexico): van transport from Cancún or Playa del Carmen, entry to the Tulum ruins, entry to Casa Tortuga with two cenotes and two caves and a local guide, a box lunch, the Tulum letters and the Mother Nature statue, and free time on Fifth Avenue. The listing excludes a Tulum tax it puts at 385 pesos for foreigners, and offers free cancellation up to 24 hours before. If you want a reviewed Tulum day instead, the Tulum ruins and cenote day from $45 swims at Cenote Mariposa, not Casa Tortuga. Compare everything in cenote tours from Cancún.
